Arctic Rose Assisted Living Home is in the highly capable and caring handof owner and operator, Varun Patel. Before Varun got into the caregiving business, he was caring for people. Raised by his mother and grandmother, who cared for elders in their home, Varun was influenced by compassion, kindness, and the ability to solve problems for people at a young age. Later, Varun joined the Army and became a Army Officer, while serving his country he also earned his master’s degree in business from the University of Southern California. In 2015, Varun was honored to be selected as the Vice President of Logistics for the 2015 Special Olympics World Games. And in 2016, Varun came to Alaska and fell in the love with the friendly people and the glorious landscape. He decided to stay in Alaska and become an investor. Varun leaned on his business sense and generations of caring that had gone before him. He envisioned an assisted living home that was excellent in beauty, accessibility, care, and a variety of services offered. He envisioned Arctic Rose Assisted Living, LLC.

Jody has over 25 years of experience in the care industry and has developed a passion for providing high-quality care to those in need. Having grown up around family members with disabilities, she knew from a young age that this was her calling. Throughout her career, she has worked as both a care provider and a documentation specialist, gaining a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field. Over the years, Jody has worked in a range of settings, from crisis homes to domestic violence shelters. In 2013, she became a licensed foster parent and welcomed two young brothers into her home who had experienced severe neglect and abuse. They were aged just 5 weeks and 18 months and stayed with Jody for almost a year. During this time, Jody formed a close relationship with their biological mother and supported her as best she could. When she became pregnant again, she asked Jody to adopt her child. On September 8, 2015, Jody became a mom and her life was forever changed for the better. In 2016, Jody was court appointed as a Guardian/Conservator to a wonderful young lady whom she had met when she first moved to Alaska in 2009. This role has allowed her to use her skills and experience to make a real difference in her life and help her achieve her goals. Throughout her career, Jody has remained committed to providing the highest quality care to those in need. With a focus on compassion, empathy, and attention to detail, she is dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of those she works with.
